Dan Teutul, managing member of Orange County Ironworks gives $65,000 gift

Published: April 15, 2019

On one of the coldest mornings in December, volunteer ironworkers from Local 417 donated their time and hoisted tons of steel through the gaping roof of NCPA’s Bay View Terrace building. Thanks go out to Dan Teutul of Orange County Ironworks for fabricating the $65,000 staircase and donating it to NCPA. Many of NCPA’s friends and neighbors visited the site that cold day to watch the action and encourage the workers. Dunkin’ Donuts (Broadway, Newburgh) sent along coffee and donuts to warm their hearts.

With the staircase in place and the roof finally closed, the interior framing, electric, plumbing and sprinkler systems can go ahead when funds are available. On February 28th, the workers completed the project by installing the stair railings. Nora Cronin Presentation Academy Newsletter “2007-2008 Annual Report” Winter Edition.
